Here's how we typically handle Storm Damage Siding Repair calls, from emergency response to full claim support.
Exposed sheathing or a hole in the wall gets a temporary weatherproof seal to stop water intrusion until permanent repair. Tarps get fastened with furring strips rather than just nails through the tarp material, which tears loose in continued wind.
We inspect for hairline cracking and impact marks that aren't always visible from the ground. A grid-pattern inspection of each elevation catches scattered impact marks a quick walk-by would miss.
Panels loosened or partially lifted by wind get re-secured or replaced depending on damage extent. We check the direction panels lifted from, which usually points to which elevation took the brunt of the wind.
Before-and-after photos and itemized estimates are formatted to match standard adjuster line items. Photos are timestamped and organized by elevation, which speeds up adjuster review considerably.
When damage is widespread across multiple elevations, a full re-side is often the more practical and often insurance-covered option. We check whether current material is still available in a matching profile before committing to full replacement over partial repair.
Fallen branches and wind-blown debris cause cracks and holes that get patched or panel-replaced depending on size. Tree limb clearance from the house gets flagged as a preventive note in our report.
Dispatch will ask about visible damage and whether water is actively getting in.
A technician arrives with tarping materials and cameras for documentation, ready to stabilize the situation fast.
Damage gets assessed, photographed, and quoted in an insurance-friendly itemized format.
Workmanship on storm repairs carries the same guarantee as any other siding work we do.
